Our Testing Process

1. Otoscopy

We begin with a visual examination of your ear canal and eardrum using an otoscope. This helps us identify any physical abnormalities or blockages that might affect your hearing.

2. Tympanometry

This test measures the movement of your eardrum in response to slight changes in air pressure. It helps us assess the function of your middle ear and identify issues such as fluid buildup or eardrum perforations.

3. Pure Tone Audiometry with Air and Bone Conduction

We'll test your ability to hear different pitches and volumes of sound. This includes both air and bone conduction tests, helping us determine the type and degree of your hearing loss.

4. Speech Tests

  • Word Recognition Score (WRS): This test evaluates how well you can understand speech at a comfortable listening level.
  • Speech in Noise (SIN) Tests: These crucial tests assesses your ability to understand speech in the presence of background noise, mimicking real-world listening environments.

5. Cognitive Screening

We use the advanced Cognivue technology to screen for cognitive function related to hearing. This helps us understand how your brain processes the sounds you hear.
